Pennsylvania Civil War 150: Traveling Exhibit

The Pennsylvania Civil War 150 Road Show was a traveling exhibit in a double expandable 53-foot tractor-trailer, commissioned by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. It traveled to all 67 counties in Pennsylvania in 2011, bringing interactive exhibits, Civil War artifacts, and activities in four themed arcades to its visitors. Programs and performances were presented outside under a Civil War-era tent. The Road Show conveys the many ways Pennsylvania’s families and communities experienced the Civil War, both on the battlefield and the home front.
